■520    ▼aThis  paper  describes  an  accurate  fault  location  algorithm  based  on  current  distribution  factors.  The  proposed  method  uses  the  voltage  and  current  collected  at  only  the  local  end  of  a  single-circuit.  The  apparent  impedance  calculated  by  the  distance  relay  is  influenced  by  the  combined  reactance  effect  of  the  fault  registance  and  the  load  current  as  well  as  the  mutual  coupling  effect  caused  by  the  zero-sequence  current  of  the  adjacent  parallel  circuit.  To  prove  the  effectiveness  of  proposed  method,  The  simulation  data  from  EMTP  was  used.    The  proposed  algorithm  using  the  current  distribution  factors  is  independent  of  fault  resistance  and  load  flow  variation.
