- 요약 :University Entrance Policy is the most important education policy in Korea. Also, it is difficult to improve because the Policy was affected both by educational and social circumstances. That's why Korea has experienced eight fundamental changes of Policy since the 1945 liberation while making every effort to set it up. The purpose of this study is to examine Grant Entrance System, School Achievement Comparison System and Local Allocation System with a view to the equality of educational opportunity. First of all, it was to closely examine the Entrance Examination System for University and briefly inquired into the process of eight changes for settlement of Entrance Examination System. Secondly, it was to examine the definition of equality of educational opportunity. The findings were as follows. The introduction of Grant Entrance System was inappropriate considering legal, educational, social situations and educational opportunity. School Achievement Comparison System was applicable in terms that it is reasonable to control school achievement for the test to measure the learning ability for university only after careful consideration. Local Allocation System was not proper in terms that the system weighs residential circumstances more heavily than students' ability. Thus, is can be accepted after the thorough study of validity to solve the side effect. In conclusion, it is proposed that three systems can be introduced in recent Entrance Examination Systems for University. It is also suggested that continuous effort to settle the Entrance Examination Policy for University has to be made although an ideal Entrance Examination System cannot be established.
